Job Description:
1. Experience in Development, Customization, Maintenance, Implementation and Deployment of database Applications using SQL Server. Expertise in SQL Server 2008 / 2012 back-end development: Stored Procedures, Functions, Performance Tuning.
2. In-depth knowledge and Experience in MS-SQL, T-SQL, SSIS Knowledge.
3. Writing and executing stored procedures, Functions, Complex T- SQL queries.
4. Strong relational database development and design skills.
5. Good understanding of RDBMS concepts.
6. Excellent command of T - SQL and joining of complex data sets.
7. Expert Transact - SQL skills and the ability to create complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, user - defined functions, views, and other database objects.
8. Ability to use SQL Profiler to identify performance issues.
9. Experience, knowledge of SQL Server administration tools including SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler, SQL Server Agent and sqlcmd utilities.
10. Experience in test data creation, importing and exporting database dumps.
11. Exposure to DB Replication & Maintenance.
12. MSSQL Server DB administration would be an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
1. SQL developer who will be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. The developer will also work with other developers optimizing in-application SQL statements as necessary, and establishing best practices.
2. The developer will help solve all database usage issues and come up with ideas and advice that can help avoid such problems in the future.
3. Approves database specifications.
4. Installs and tests databases and associated products.
5. Provides fault isolation and resolution.
6. Designs the distribution of database resources.
7. Provides physical modeling and design services.
8. Implements disaster recovery and contingency plans.
9. Participates in the design of databases.
10. Contributes to the maintenance of the data dictionary.
11. Supports the making of a detailed conceptual data model and the translation into outline designs.
12. Assists in testing and carries out basic modifications to database management systems applications.
13. Migrates databases into training and operational environments, safeguarding existing systems from adverse effects.
14. Gathers data to contribute to monitoring database usage.
